To the confusion of the upper echelon of the Catholic church there was no underage boys in a little movie you may not have heard of: Avatar. Seems they didn't understand that the hype around the films release and its unbelievable success.

All kidding aside, the Catholic church has shown just how out of touch with reality they are when they called the movie "dangerous" and, incredibly, "bland."

Bland!? Avatar? Really? I almost have to wonder if they saw this movie. Regardless of what criticisms I've seen of the movie, bland is not something I have heard anyone use. In fact those who hate the storyline itself still exclaim the amazing special effects in the film.

Their claim of "dangerous" shouldn't be too much of a surprise, coming from the group who also finds Harry Potter dangerous. The idea of being one with nature so harms the church that they must find every way to destroy the idea. The Vatican believes that this could lead people down a path of naturalistic spiritualism, a neo-pagan belief system.

Obviously the Catholic church knows just how gullible their flock is and is attempting to dissuade them from seeing the film.
